..... but it's kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame
So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane.
If your good you know who sings this. Lately I feel it's my theme song. Things that are driving me crazy include but are not limited to:
Sonny Boy repeatedly breaking the same rule and getting harsher and harsher punishments. Why is it so hard to just NOT turn on the damn TV in the morning?
Igor's CONSTANT chatter. Yes I know he's just learning to talk and it's all completely normal but he's like having a mentally impaired parrot on my shoulder at all times. The kid's mouth runs constant nonsense from the moment his eyes crack open until he falls asleep. I don't know how I'll cope when school is out and I don't have the three hour respite in the afternoon. By Sunday evening even Hubby is getting worn down and everybody is waiting on bedtime.
The Dentist cancelling an appointment and not bothering to tell me, assuming that I knew that by accepting an opening they had at the last minute (they called me) that I understood the next appointment was cancelled. NO, I didn't want to cancel the next appointment and they never told me it was cancelled. So today I have another appointment, I told them they must finish all the work in my mouth as school is out next week and I do not have babysitters and whatever gets done gets done. Not to mention I have reached the cap on work for the dental insurance for the year so I'll be paying a nice chunk of change out of pocket for today's work.
My basement having water RUN through it every time the ground gets soaked. Nothing like constantly wet floor in your laundry area.
Boys that pee all over the bathroom. Is it really that hard to point a penis down and make sure the pee hits the water? The other day one of the boys honestly peed on the top of the tank! You would think that cleaning it up a few time would be enough to break them from this nastiness but I guess not. If I ever get a house with a master bath they will not be allowed to ever even walk into it. If we ever move somewhere without neighbors on top of us I might just build them an outhouse.
I'm so sick of washing dishes, between dishes and laundry I think that's all I ever do.
So I suppose I'll quit having a pity party.
In other news.....
Not much is happening. Sonny Boy's first baseball game was rained out Sat. I took him to the City Museum in St. Louis. That place is really cool. I'll post pictures soon, I just don't feel like fighting the blog program, it doesn't like me. His next game is supposed to be tonight but I don't know if Sonny Boy will make it due to rain and/or his compulsive TV turning on in the A.M. I'm going to discuss punishment with Hubby. This is at least his third offense for breaking the particular rule.
Hubby and I have discovered Netflix. We've been getting the DVD's in the mail for a while but just recently they have enabled us to run the streaming movies through the Wii. It rocks! The selection on line is somewhat limited but it changes often so there is usually something on it to watch. Last night we watched "Man From Snowy River" Hubby had never seen it and it had been so many years since I saw it that I could only really remember the scene of the guy riding the horse down the mountain. I had been discussing it with the trail ride lady when when Hubby piped up that he had no idea what we were talking about. Oddly it popped up on the menu the other day. I've been watching "Weeds" the last few nights. We've never had the movie channels on our cable so I've missed out on shows like "Weeds" "Sopranos" and " Big Love" that get a lot of critical acclaim. Weeds is pretty funny actually in a very dark sort of way. I'd like to watch Big Love but Netflix only has it on DVD and since a season is several discs (and I only have the one disc at a time option) it would take me weeks to go through the box. I'm hoping they'll put it on streaming soon.
Hubby is still working 10-12 hour days and some Saturday mornings now. I'm beginning to wonder if his employer is really trying to kill him or run him off. He's been doing this since before Christmas. While the money has been good to keep us afloat, I'm afraid he's going to collapse. He goes to bed before Sonny Boy some nights.
Igor is doing better, we hit a rough patch of being three years old there for a while but seems to have leveled out back to his normal self. Yesterday he fell off his scooter and scraped his forehead and got a big goose-egg right in the middle of his forehead, it's about twice the size of the quarter and centered right over his nose. Ouch! However he's not bothered by it beyond a few tears right when it happened. I'm sure it's sore but it's not somewhere that gets bumped that much and since he can't see it he's not showing it to me every half hour like the scratch that's on his arm that I'm pretty sure doesn't hurt at all.
See I guess we are totally boring lately. Honestly, Hubby and I pretty stressed but it's not anything to put out into public. We are managing and will, just dealing with life's curve balls right now.
....I've always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

Hi everybody,
We are Alon and Rina from Israel.
We adopted Mika on April 2010 when she was two years old.
By the pictures you've put in the web site, Mika was in the group of "jtm_mjm".
We'll be very happy to share with you experiences and pictures from
the baby home - the kids, care takers, the area etc.
Mika was born on February 2008, so whoever adopted after the begining
of 2008 probably saw or met our child.
We'll be very happy if you have picturs of Mika, the care takers, the
rooms and the area or any other memory that may complete the past of
our child.
We put a few pictures in the web site, so you can recognize her.
Love and light
Rina and Alon
