Incident avoided hopefully

The girls in the previous post were returned to their guardian and will be returning to Ukraine in the next day or so. This was reported on the same FL TV station as the previous link. It appears the guy is totally confused about how the whole system works and needs somebody to give him an education.

The terrible shame now is that he's likely crapped all over his own chances at adopting the girls and the girls will not get to go live in his 11,000 sq foot mansion and have a family to love them. I do hope that he hasn't crapped on every one else's chances of adopting because it will mean that thousands of Ukrainian orphans will never be adopted simply because of his own arrogance.

I pray that the Ukrainian adoption authorities see this as an isolated incident and don't punish everyone that does follow the law.

You are so ignorant. You have no idea what was going on behind the scenes of the corrupt FH group. Stop writing and pretending you are educated about the situation. Get an education about POLITICS.

If I'm so ignorant why do sign your name anonymous?

I am educated about politics and I know one jerk can and will screw it up for many.

I know the man tried to circumnavigate the law, regardless to what was happening with FH. He kidnapped those children just the same as if he snatched them off the playground. FH had nothing to do with him keeping the children after they were due to go back - that was all him.

Sign your name like an adult.

As some who was involved in this situation and personally pleaded with the Vander Matens, I can assure you that he understands the adoption process and the hosting program's limits. He tried to circumvent the process and whe that didn't work he decided to slander anyone he could including Frontier Horizon who did the right thing in this situation. Let's hope the Ukrainian government looks on the swift actions of the US courts and law enforcement as reassurances that we have the childrens' best interests at heart. I hope law enforcement will consider the Vander Matens actions for what they were: the criminal detainment of minors: kidnapping. Pray the kids get a family, but not this one.
